Crypto is "hotter" than ever today. Bitcoin recently broke all records and altcoins are also delivering impressive returns. After crypto broker LiteBit saw its customer portfolio grow enormously last year, 2021 promises to be an even more important year.
“In the past year, we saw a 70% growth in the number of transactions on our platform. Since then, it has continued to grow unabated,” says Olivier Van Duijn, CEO of crypto platform LiteBit. “A growing group of people and companies are finding their way faster to crypto, and especially Bitcoin. People today are also more likely to consider crypto as a smart investment and a safe investment in turbulent times.”
In the recently published trend report of LiteBit, trend watcher Tom Palmaerts makes the following statements: “In 2025, according to predictions based on the evolutions we are seeing now, Bitcoin will have a value of more than a million dollars and Ethereum maybe even more. In five years, crypto investors will be the new wealthy.” Financial analysts predict a major breakthrough for crypto in the upcoming years, with 2021 set to be a major tipping point. “With more than 101 million users worldwide, crypto can no longer be described as a niche. It is becoming more and more mainstream”, says Palmaerts. LiteBit also clearly established this. Since its establishment, LiteBit has hosted more than a million users from all over Europe on the platform, and this number continues to grow.
In 2019 and 2020, LiteBit won the "Best Crypto broker" award thanks to the vote of the public. Throughout Europe, the LiteBit.eu platform and the App are used daily and the Customer Support team is available 24/7 for questions. “We are making the step to crypto easier and safer for everyone with an interest. We want to become the most trusted European crypto platform, not only for the people who already trade in crypto, but for everyone,” says Van Duijn.

The Wikimedia Foundation stops accepting crypto donations. The non-profit released a public statement just yesterday and the decision is closely tied to the debate on whether cryptocurrencies are dangerous for the environment or not. With more and more voices that are raised against crypto, it seems that crypto sceptics gain more impact on the market. What were the reasons for Wikimedia’s decision and will other institutions and companies follow the example?

Is it insanity? Not quite. Elon Musk is the richest man on earth and as such he can afford a lot of things that an average household won’t. One of these things is Twitter. Why is the tech billionaire bidding to buy the social media giant? And what can we expect if he succeeds?
