Crypto gift guide 2022 – How to celebrate Christmas in style?

It's the holiday season, and soon friends and family might ask you at Christmas dinner how crypto is doing and what kind of investments you recommend. There is no better answer to all those questions that might arise than presenting your loved ones with a unique crypto gift or at least a gift that you’ve bought with crypto. If you wonder what options you have - don’t worry; we got you covered.

What kind of crypto presents are available this year, and where can you get them?

1.      Bitcoin as a gift

What is more exciting than gifting somebody their first Bitcoin and introducing them to wallet software? Buying Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency is easy with LiteBit, and to gift it to somebody, all you need to do is to transfer it to that person’s wallet. You are also not bound to gift a huge amount since Bitcoin can even be divided into amounts worth less than a cent.

How about a pre-charged paper wallet with Bitcoin, Litecoin, or Dogecoin? You can print it and wrap it in a nice envelope and turn a digital asset into something that the gifted person can quite literally get in touch with. Another less festive option is to set up a desktop or mobile wallet together and send in the coins directly while sitting cosy under the Christmas tree.

2.      Hardware wallets are important

Maybe you already “orange-pilled” somebody in the past, and they went down the rabbit hole but are still missing an important piece of equipment. A hardware wallet is a device dedicated to protecting your crypto in self-custody. That said, even if that person already has a hardware wallet, it is worth checking out the new models.

Ledger, Trezor, KeepKey, and BitBox are just a few brands that update their products regularly. There are plenty of options available, and the best part is that most businesses also accept Bitcoin, among other cryptos, for payment.

3.      A crypto smartphone

Most smartphones support the option to install a wallet from the app store. Some smartphones are dedicated to crypto and support a lot more features. Such as protecting private keys with a dedicated security chip or the option to run a Bitcoin full node right in your pocket.

Options available are the HTC Exodus or a model from Samsung using the so-called Samsung wallet. You might also be interested in checking out the FINNEY phone or the Electroneum M1. The perhaps most exclusive option available is the Metavertu for 3.429 Euros. The smartphone is a luxury piece fully dedicated to Web3 and the metaverse. It remains to be seen when and if the Solana Saga will become available, but it might be a good idea to put that one on the wish list for next Christmas.

4.      Books about Bitcoin and crypto

Bitcoin is a groundbreaking invention, and there are plenty of books available that focus on the topic from different angles. Would you like to explore Bitcoin's technical specifications? Perhaps the most comprehensive guide was written by Andreas Antonopoulos. “Mastering Bitcoin” and “Mastering Ethereum” are both available as print versions that make a nice gift.

Other books that are recommended are “The Bitcoin Standard”, “Why buy Bitcoin – Investing today in the money of tomorrow”, and “The Blocksize War”, among many other titles from different authors. This might be your option to introduce somebody to blockchain and crypto with a delightful Christmas present.

5.      Merchandise – Show your support for crypto

T-Shirts, hats and even socks are available among many other merchandise articles to show your support for different crypto projects. This is perhaps the best option if you want a less exclusive and inexpensive gift unless you attempt to acquire the precious and rare Unisocks.

Aside from several crypto-native stores, there are plenty of options you can choose from on eBay or Amazon, making it fairly easy to get your hands on some charming merch.

6.      NFTs: Gift a piece of art

This is very similar to gifting Bitcoin or other cryptos. The difference is that most NFTs can be shown to the rest of the world differently. An NFT viewer might complement that gift enabling the gifted person to showcase their NFTs.

There is digital art, in-game content, profile pictures and many more options that you can consider when choosing an NFT as a gift to a person. Acquiring it is also fairly easy. Buy Ethereum, Avalanche, Solana or any other needed crypto with LiteBit and transfer it to your wallet. Once this is done you can visit OpenSea or other NFT marketplaces and go on a digital shopping spree. Prices, however, can range between millions of Dollars and a few cents, making NFTs an interesting option since you don’t have to be concerned when considering the price.
